I now use these skewers with beef, chicken, shrimp and all kinds of vegetables for grilling. The advice is very accurate and able to go through everything we've been through without any problems. More recently we've used it to make fruit skewers. Not only to eat, but we could roast some fruit. We had to be careful where we put the fruit, but these skewers went through the fruit with no problem. Not to mention the fruit stayed on the skewer too. No matter what we use them for, our food stays. Instead of reaching for skewers, I can use my tongs to grab food when it needs to be turned. Despite this, the food does not slip or fall. When it comes to cleaning, just pop them in the sink when they need soaking, then just scrub and you're done. The brushes were definitely a bonus and are a great combination.
