Every time I check my tire pressure, I compare the tire pressure gauge to the 7-Eleven "AIR” station display and finally to the gauge in my car that shows on the dashboard when I steer. For those who just want to jump to the answer at the end of the teacher's textbook so you can move on to the next life challenge, I won't say it now and just tell you what happened - that little Tire Tek sensor was so accurate and a lot more reliable than all the numbers I received at gas stations that it allowed me to track and map the exact distance to each gas station. Not only that, I began to doubt the sensor in my car because it soon became clear that those numbers couldn't be right. I didn't even know there was a way to reset the car's pressure sensor until my Tire Tek gauge showed there had to be one. So I googled right there in a dark, empty parking lot, and when I reset the sensor in my car, after a few miles the numbers started to add up! When each corrected number could only match the number on the Tire Tek scale, I knew I was done with my research.
