These lights are a steal. I set them to Nano 12x12x12. There was enough light for medium to high need plants. The problem was that when you planted them directly on the glass of the lid, the temperature in the aquarium rose by almost 4-5 degrees, which is unfavorable for most plants or shrimp. I got a little creative and installed the 12.5 inch strips in the stainless steel drywall dirt tray and attached a decorative chain to hang them from the ceiling. This solved the temperature rise problem, but you pay for it by reducing the light intensity (nominal) towards the bottom of the tank. I've spent money on all full spectrum multifactor lighting, I don't want to list them as there are 9 different 6500-7000k full spectrum LEDs, 1 to 3 watts that I have running currently, I'll say 1 worst of them marine shore installation, led display, the light itself is one of the most powerful of all my lights. I have a built in timer that defaults to 3pm. After 3 years the end part sank in the water and the on-off timer stopped working. Support said it would. Cannot be repaired after a few days dry. The light stays on when plugged in, but the off timer has been removed. I started using it with the default timer. The design wasn't designed to use an external timer at 8am The default internal timers would turn off at 8am which meant that real time 1pm this damn thing would go off even though the external timer wasn't until 8am :00 o'clock in real time so combo blocks weren't for me , Seeland was also running really hot. Currently planted + mount is fine, I bought about a week before they announced the Plant + Pro. The current Real Men Pro 7000k daylight aluminum bar is a strong competitor against the exotic E series and I find it a great light source. All of the above have a length of 36 or more. For the Nano #2 I use a 16" Finnex daylight in addition to one of those 24v cool whites and it works great for me and time has proven superior. #3 7.5 gallon Nano The Ehiem is on top of a very cool stand, great functionality, practicality, style, Nano # has a finnray stingray. not needed, ray emits great light ledernet 50/50 remote-controlled impulse purchase went wrong as a toy and it sucks 2 strips ecoxotic pro 24 volt 6 watts in blue and pink i use at night with the current duel ramp timer. not that impressive again hey why don't I go online and buy something I don't really need. An exotic one-touch timer, maybe one day they'll upgrade it to actually program another impulse buy. sunrise and sunset? not in my world good if you maybe smoke. I was curious, and honestly this is just bullshit and another impulse buy I'll be talking about at my anonymous Revain meetup so my kids can pay for their own damn school.
