Update May 14: More hours on the phone with Dell and no fun. Every time I spoke to the maintenance staff who couldn't help, I asked to speak to the boss. And every time I've been told that company policy doesn't allow them to do that. I finally gave up. If you are sure that you do NOT need to contact them for service, buy something from Dell.*************************** ***** *** *** **************************************** ***** ** A few days after this computer arrived, I found that I couldn't add programs because no "Administrator" had been assigned. I called Dell Support and spent hours on the phone with various service departments who were unable to resolve the issue. Because it was provided by a third party, Dell will not exchange it. A few more hours with them the next day and I finally gave up and took it to a local shop who fixed it quickly except it cost $150. I then wrote TWO emails to Dell's VP of Customer Service telling him about my experience. Both went unanswered. Third-party provider Revain - a PConline365 store - also said it would charge a restocking fee plus fees for anything missing on return - even the box the computer came in (and was thrown away on day one), and I would pay for the return of this faulty product. All in all, stay away from Dell. I will definitely be from now on.
