The device looks pretty good. I bought this to be able to use my Nexus 7 to browse TorqueApp but most of the time it's used to hold my Nexus 5 for navigation. It looks like a decent mount for the Nexus 7, but I've noticed a few things that don't make it so great for the Nexus 5. Pros: 1. The suction cup seems to rip the window out of the car if you pull hard enough. Attachment is solid 3. Spring-loaded "fingers" feel light enough to insert and remove devices. Bad: 1. The longer fingers needed for larger phones and desks feel weak. You can see them flex as you squeeze the springs to insert the phone. It makes me a little nervous that someone trying to squeeze their phablet in could break it, or if I accidentally tug on the power cord, it could break. her away. Unfortunately, with a Nexus 5.2 smartphone, it is not possible to use shorter fingers. The back covers the camera on my Nexus 5 and probably every other phone on the market. The back plate that holds the fingers is too high to mount the phone on the side as shown in the product image. So when you put your phone in a vertical position, the back and/or your fingers will cover the rear camera. I have used my Samsung S3 window mount many times to take photos while driving without this problem. I don't think there's a phone that doesn't have issues with this mount, other than maybe the biggest phablet with a camera at the very edge. You can wiggle the phone a bit to allow the camera to peek out from behind the back plate, but I'm afraid it's not well supported and could slide out. Summary: It's a well-made product that looks pretty solid, but since it's designed for tablets it's more of a compromise for phones. The product is being sold for tablets so it's not a bug, but it's something to keep in mind if you're using it for both.
