Only a flat piece of fabric can be hooped.

This frame is the back of the standard Brother frame. The metal is attached to the outer frame instead of the inner frame. This means you cannot use this hoop to embroider structured items such as shopping bags as your fabric will not rest on the bottom of the hoop. I wasted my money buying this ring.
