Review on Game console Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP, Mario Edition purple by Adam Listopad ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

It must be understood that people leave reviews about two consoles: the original Japanese high quality and a bunch of Chinese clones that appeared to satisfy the market demand after the cessation of production of the original. You need to take the model that does not have built-in games and that does not connect to a computer (this is the closest copy to the original, which is slightly worse except for the brightness of the screen). At the same time, it is very difficult to find the original now, a knowledgeable person will not give it away for 2022, and it is not clear what condition the battery will be in. As well as licensed cartridges: good games are already collectible. If you don’t chase after all this, then you should take a clone without built-in games, a few cartridges with something better and look for a pirate car. There has been a Nintendo DS Lite for a long time, which is four times more expensive, but in addition to accepting GBA cartridges, it also has its own extensive library of games; I will recommend it to a person unfamiliar with Nintendo portables and not very limited in finances.

Pros
  • - a lot of good, talented games that almost everything can be given to children of the youngest age without looking, for Nintendo in those years it was a credo, you just have to not be lazy to look on the Internet for those titles for which the console gained fame and hidden gems like Kurukuru Kururin and Shantae; - a very tenacious console in terms of build quality, it will survive NDS Lite if the battery survives that long; - the battery, compared to the current generation of portables, is simply "bottomless"; - when buying a special pirated cartridge (1000-2022 from the online store or from the hands), the entire library of games that you find on the network will become available; - in every way better than the usual GBA.
Cons
  • - a small screen, it can tire the eyes of adults; - a small grip of the controller, the hands of those who have large hands can get tired of it (after all, the console was made for children); - some good games require knowledge of basic English; - cartridges can already be difficult to find on sale, and those that are are pirated (this is not as bad as it sounds, but still .).
