So far so good with this router. I used to have a different brand of modem/router combo and found that the wireless range was not good enough for my home. The problem with this router is that the antennas were internal, so they could not be adjusted or replaced with better antennas. My house is designed so that the modem/router should be on one side of the house so there is virtually no signal on the other side. I tried using a range extender but it was a bad decision (it lost a lot of speed when the signal was repeated). I raised the modem/router 7 feet off the ground as several articles have mentioned this as a possible solution to the range issue. It helped a bit, but still wasn't enough to stream video to the other side of the house. So I started looking for routers. Archer C7 has been mentioned in several online reviews/comparisons. The C9 was the latest model, so I decided to invest in the future (at least for a few years) and get this model. Then I noticed that Revain has a high-power version that replaces the standard antennas with high-gain antennas. I would try that with my old modem/router if I had access to antennas, so I decided to spend a few bucks more and get a powerful C9 now and not worry about upgrading in the future. the difference the C9 makes on my wireless band! I connected the C9 to one of my old modem/router's Ethernet ports and disabled the wireless signal from the modem/router (bridge mode). Now I can easily stream Netflix in each room (simultaneously) with more bandwidth.
