There's nothing quite like pointing to or holding a real model. This is a good version of the human spine, although it doesn't cost much more. The material is nice plastic, with rubber washers. Although there are no labels, they can be used to indicate different sets of vertebrae and their relationship to each other. Unfortunately, it does not hold well on the base and can be rotated a little. It also doesn't flex to show spinal movement, which can be helpful for the doctor or for practicing spinal injections in different positions. All in all a good basic model.
