Edit: I changed my star rating to 4. After I emailed a company that makes products with bears on them, they explained that sometimes what I described actually happens and that this can be remedied by melting the content. and let it cool down again. I put it in the oven (the whole mold) for about 10 minutes. When it melted I took it out and let it cool. After cooling, the balm returned to its ideal state and the "grainy texture" disappeared. I'm glad I didn't have to send it back. I love GBS products. I have always been happy with this order. If you use a beard balm, you know how the texture should be when you apply it. Sometimes, with sudden changes in temperature, the contents of the tin will melt and then recover. The texture becomes grainy and it is difficult for the balm to "melt" completely in the hands before application. I ordered 2 packs of 2 different flavors. One was perfect and as expected while the other had a grainy texture. I wrote directly to the GBS people and asked if I could send it back and get a new one. They declined and gave me a few workarounds (basically melt and re-cure). I thought they could support the product and send me a new one, but that's not the case. Don't be afraid to buy groceries just be careful if something like this happens you can be SOL and should eat the cost of this product. If I find a better resolution I will update this review. I really like their products but I don't like losing money. enough to make me look elsewhere.
