I'll have my vacuum in less than an hour and I'm returning it already! Did the engineers actually use this position?! Look friends I don't usually complain about this but I'm so disappointed. That's why. The hose is whole, maybe 4 feet with a wand that can't even reach the ceiling. But don't try to stretch or the vacuum will fall off! I shoot to clean the floor, yeah The can STILL falls. This vacuum cleaner is terrible! Then I had to get an extension of the suction wand to be able to clean the edges as well, because the wand is so short that it was very uncomfortable for me to bend down, I felt like a 125-year-old man with a terrible posture all of his body Life. Without him, I tiptoed to clear the cobwebs. My height is 5 feet 7 inches. It's a real shame because the vacuum cleaner sucks great and picks up a lot in the one time I used it! Unfortunately I am sending it back and am now trying to decide on something else.
