Update: One of the legs became very weak for unknown reasons, so I tried to tighten it. It took some torque to re-tighten the leg and the hex screw was starting to loosen, so I backed out. I tightened it a bit but I need to replace that screw before I try again or I'm afraid it will snap off. Screw quality could be better. So I'm deducting a star and contacting Neewer to see if they can get me a replacement screw. This tripod is built like a tank. The Arca-Swiss mount is firm and strong. The ball joint is buttery smooth. Also ideal as a base for a Weebill S Stabilizer. If you are looking for a quality metal tripod that can withstand any type of stress and perform well in the field, look no further. This is what I was looking for for hiking and photography in nature.
