Wow. I cut the cable with DirecTv and installed it on an outside wall. Scanned channels and found 93 channels! I'm a happy customer. Update: My installation is complete. I carry 3 TVs with 40, 50 and 75 foot cables. All is well. Of the 93 channels I can receive, I've blocked all but 6. One thing to note: it comes with a 40ft coax cable between the antenna and the amplifier. I didn't need a long cable for this, so I replaced the DirecTV cable I just removed. I did a channel scan and lost half of my channels. I went back to the OEM cable and everything is fine again. Didn't go back to see if the shorter cable is bad, but keep that in mind if you're having reception issues. UPDATE: After a few days I started freezing the screen and dropping the reception. I figured it was the long cables and thought I might need a different/better amp. But then, as another reviewer wrote. I remembered the instructions saying you might not need a built in amplifier. I turned it off and now everything is perfect. So if you encounter any problems, don't forget to try this.
