These glasses are not designed for reading/vision at or near 90 degrees. It's more like your head should be at a 45 degree angle, at which point you might just want to do whatever you want without them. Also, the view isn't amazing. It's crisp, with some oddities in the middle, because it's not one long piece of glass, but one for each eye. But it also makes what you're holding or looking at twice as far away as it actually is, so you'll have to put the book down about 5 inches in front of you if you want it next to you. will probably become very annoying after a long time. Do I also have a tear or something similar on the inside of the glasses? although it doesn't really matter, but I only mention it because they were only shipped in an envelope from Amazon and the glasses are in the box with no padding, just in a soft case/bag.
