I've been told I'm not charitable enough. Well I don't want you to hurt anyone trying to figure out how this happens as the instructions are so bad. Lay the top piece upside down on something soft (because the finish won't last three years with good care). Find the part where the holes line up with the top and screw the top bracket and table top together. After that it will make sense. Don't bother with instructions and spend 15 minutes getting it right like I did. Also, do not tighten anything until all parts are assembled. Legs may appear crooked after attaching to the top. See my photos. They straighten out when you attach the bottom with screws. Promise. Nicely packaged and dealt with the postman who is rude with my package. These tables work great in a space that isn't used much.
