In light of the fact that we had to decide between a grill and a sandwich maker, we settled on this particular model. We were swayed both by the pricing and by the fact that the top cover could be opened and closed. The quality is not of the finest caliber, but it is acceptable considering the price. Extremely lightweight, and it creeps across the table. Below, there are two miniature babies that serve as rubber legs; nevertheless, I feel as though there should be four of them for greater stability. The coating that prevents food from sticking is effective, but the plates themselves are very shallow. It heats up quite quickly, yet the temperature rises gradually from the center outward. When it reaches a predetermined temperature, it powers down, then when it cools down, it powers back up and begins to heat up. Fries sandwiches quickly enough, unquestionably much quicker than our previous one. The smell of the first three components is by far the most offensive aspect. After the initial addition, there was a putrid odor, almost like something was burning, and then it went away after a while. Concerning the odor, they said that the Kitfort induction cooker had a similar odor during the first three times it was used, but that it eventually went away. In light of this, it would be more prudent to forego the purchase of such a plan.
