He likes this printer very pretty person, They are so tempted to date. Your friends warn you that she/he is crazy but you don't listen because she/he looks really good. And they seem so charming and innocent at first. However, once you start dating, the craziness starts to come out, and it only gets worse from there. But you get just enough out of the relationship to keep trying. When you're done, your only solution is to cut all ties, get a restraining order, and leave town without leaving a forwarding address. It looks very classy out of the box. You turn it on and it makes some pretty ringtones and emits some pretty purple and pink lights. But when it comes to printing – oh my god! Trying to connect it to your laptop/desktop/iPad/whatever wirelessly failed completely. Sometimes this works, maybe in your case (like mine) enough to use it beyond the 30 day return window. But by the time you start realizing that it's not going to get better and will continue to be an EXTREMELY DESTRUCTIVE PROBLEM THAT IS LOSSING MANY PRECIOUS HOURS OF YOUR LIFE, it's too late. You're stuck with a beautiful but empty thing. I haven't had to connect a printer to my laptop via a USB cable in probably 10 years. Well, make sure you have it handy because you're going to need it. Believe it or not, the Wi-Fi (Mac) troubleshooting guide actually tells you to connect the printer with a USB cable, it's not a lie. Then your printer will finally show up in their useless app (HP's "Smart," which should refer to the pain you'll feel after handling it). About this app and this guide - I like the minimalist design as much as anyone, but minimalist doesn't have to mean non-existent. The instructions provided are the bare minimum. If something goes wrong, woe to you! You need to surf the Internet, where almost all the instructions for a PC are written. Do you have a Mac? You will be treated like a leper. Additionally, most of the instructions assume you have touchscreen video. NO for this printer model. Tempted as you are Mac users - don't do it! UPDATE: I called HP customer service. I dated someone for almost 2 hours (no exaggeration). We finally got it to work when connected with a USB cable. But a few days later when I tried to use the printer again, it didn't work. No connection to printer. Didn't recognize him at all, although just a few days ago I knew him well enough to print. ghost talk. I never expected my printer to outshine me. (Oh, and not once has an HP rep offered a refund or replacement.) UPDATE 2: I got a new Mac laptop. So I decided to give the printer another chance. Oh boy what a mistake. There were just as many problems getting the damn thing to work. In fact, I never got them to print a single page (other than the test page). Tries to connect via WiFi (I have the latest AT&T modem). No bones, although I've tried three different ways. (At one point he suggested moving the printer closer. It was only 12 inches away.) Tried to connect via a USB connection (which is a joke these days). no connection yet. There is a cable between my laptop and the printer, it's less than a foot away, but it can't find the printer! Obviously he couldn't find his ass with both hands. One more note: Although this review got over 170 likes, HP never contacted me. I don't think they care about Mac users. Well, the feeling is mutual. I will never buy an HP product again.
