The palm isn't very grippy - I wish there was some sort of rubberized coating on most of the surface to give it more grip. I would also prefer a closer fitting mitten with Velcro or elastic straps that sits snugly over a jacket or thermal base layer. This one has an odd transition from the back of the hand to the glove as you can see in my photo. Overall this is a good medium weight compact glove that I will probably use on my winter hunts this year. year because it is more flexible and thinner than my other winter gloves. I'll report actual results in the field after a few hunts.
