Before you buy and what you need to know.

Before you buy and what you need to know. I recently purchased a Wagner Control Pro 130 Power Tank paint sprayer after a complete failure of the FLEXiO 3000 HVLP paint sprayer (it's junk and should be recalled). If I had to do it all over again I would buy a Graco Magnum Project Painter Plus or a Titan ControlMax 1700 Heavy Duty Airless Sprayer and here's why. The Wagner Control Pro 130 Power Tank Atomizer isn't that bad. Product. If you need to create multiple rooms, including ceilings and large rooms, this product works and works well. Advantages: 1. This product is easy to use. I am new to spray guns and (after a little practice) found this product easy to use. I could quickly paint large walls (including ceilings) and rooms.2. This product requires little assembly and you can take it out of the box and then use it within 5 minutes. (There is a YouTube video show on how to use this product.) 3. You can also use different tips for different projects. You can use latex (without dilution), minerals or dyes with Wagner. Disadvantages: 1. In theory, you could do external projects. If you paint the house outside, this product will not work. The reason is that you have to fill the tank every 10 minutes. So it was a little annoying going up and down the stairs just to fill the tank. If you need to paint a deck or fence, this product might work. You can use a 5 gallon bucket with Graco or Titan.2. What you really should know is that Titan recently bought out Wagner. If you don't have additional Wagner tips, titanium tips are "compatible", but you will also need to purchase a titanium tip protector. (about $30) 3. The above made it harder to find accessories like gun filters, tips and extensions.4. Wagner has only two shots. Priming and spraying. Wagner has an output of 0.50 hp. and cannot spray latex through 211 or more detailed spray nozzles. I used the 515 and 413 nozzles and felt like wasting paint on small corners and narrow walls. It would be nice if 211 worked.5. Cleaning is a pain. I know the video makes the process easy, but it takes about 20 minutes to clean up. I put the paint in a can, fill with soap and water, prime, spray, drain again, drain the tank (again), use clean water, prime, spray just to make sure the paint doesn't come off into the paint. hose.6. My Wagner is currently leaking paint somewhere on the bottom and I have yet to call the manufacturer to troubleshoot. Once I do that I will post the solution.7. Whatever you do, DO NOT get this product wet! If it gets wet, make sure it's unplugged, then let it dry. I cleaned the outside of this product with a damp sponge, or my friend cleaned it with a damp sponge and wet the switch. When I filled the wagon with clean water (it was a friend of mine) it gave a very pleasant shock that made my hair stand on end. I will only leave this product for small projects, patches only. I restore old furniture and I think the product will be suitable for this. If I had to do larger projects like exterior/interior homes, I would upgrade to titanium. Hope that helps. M
