They melt faster than base packs.
Booster bags thaw faster and freeze at a lower temperature than core bags. I work out of town all week and use the fridge to keep my bags cool. basic packages. Make sure you have an extra set of basic pouches and change them when you're not in the freezer. Don't get me wrong, the vest system is great.
