Hardware security keys are new to me. Hell, I spent a whole day studying them all because I was intrigued by the concept and the safety. I got my key last week. It didn't work on my laptop for NameCheap.com at first, but I think the problem was with the new Opera browser called GX, or the way my Windows 10 is set up. Anyway, I tried it on my main desktop, and it worked right away without any problems. Then try again on the laptop by changing the NameCheap settings. Now it works great. I bought this Thetis key because of its price and good reviews. minus points? Well the plastic doesn't seem very durable but for the price it does. What can we expect? Pretty durable I would say. Also, it doesn't work universally like expensive Yubikey keys, but they cost half as much as these. If you are still planning on getting Yubikey keys instead, please note that it is STRONGLY recommended to have at least TWO keys. Important services like Google, Dropbox, NameCheap, Bitwarden work with these keys. So you can get an expensive Yubikey plus a Thetis key as a backup if you really need it. For me, Thetis is enough. I plan to have another one. I used a USB-C adapter for my phone. My LG V20 phone thought it was a keyboard at first, but after reinstalling NameCheap.com it was recognized immediately and I was able to log in.
