Review on Dive into Astonishing Entertainment with the Ellusionist Fathom Water Themed Playing Card Deck by Joseph Hamilton

These cards are quite flashy and have a good balance when you need cards that are playable but have something out of the ordinary. The color of these cards is a very light pale green tint, so the contrast between the red cards and the black cards is a bit less than usual, but it helps give the design an underwater bubble feel. Aces look pretty standard, but cards 2-10 have a suit emblem broken into bubbles, which looks really cool but still reads like a suit. All court cards have a bubble effect which makes them the least legible, but since these are court cards you can't go wrong with the colors. Overall, I'm only giving Fathom Deck 4 out of 5 because I'm not happy with the font they chose for the value in the corners of the cards. It's a bit too much and the cards are a little harder to read than they need to be (but they're still playable). However, a more readable font would have made these cards 5/5. I look forward to trying them out at card parties this weekend.
