In general, this is the second disc of this series, the first and completely similar died for reasons beyond his control. (Mechanical damage. And yes, there were TWO pancakes in it). The second one, and it was for 3 TB, I bought out of habit. Severe couch "technical specialists" categorically told me that these disks are only and exclusively for video surveillance, but in my simple system unit it felt very normal. The speed is good, there were no problems, it warmed up weakly, it didn’t make much noise. This is ideal for archive and working disk. (For the sake of interest, I launched Cyberpunk from it. Well, it's not solid, but it's quite acceptable.) And it is precisely its sharpening for video surveillance systems - that is, for operation 24 hours 7 days a week, that explains its high price. Higher than similar barracudas say. So if you need reliability, long time between failures, low heat generation - you can safely overpay. The disc is worth the premium. Although the next generation discs have already appeared, which, with slightly different characteristics, are higher. It is also a plus that its firmware can be ated. They say it improves performance. I can’t say anything here - I didn’t have time to ate the first disk. The second is already with a new firmware. But the fact itself is remarkable.
