I was looking for a "good" SSD -> HDD kit/adapter. Thought that was all. no The screw holes on the adapter plate are for the small screws used in the SSD, not those of the original hard drive. If you have a mount that just snaps on, you'll need to drill or re-cut those holes. Also, once you mount the drive again, you will encounter a second problem. The drive is now one inch further into the drive bay than it should be. This is because the plate is too short. Or the attachment points for the SSD are pushed back too far. Here's an idea: leave a cutout for the cable and move the mounting holes to the edge of the panel. Did!. While you're at it, move these holes so the connectors line up with your regular hard drive. (See the Corsair version (which has its own problems).) Sorry, but this company let me down the most. So far, every adapter I've tried has had a design issue. I'm a computer pro and have done 12 SSD upgrades in the last 2 months. About 1/2 are desktop computers.
