This cable suits me very well, but there are a few things the prospective buyer should be aware of. The cable set includes a 3-foot cable for signal amplification. This cable has a USB connector on one end and a power connector on the other end. There are only three points on the 30m cable that this amplifier cable can be connected to. Spots are at 10m, 20m and at the other end (30m). This means you need a power source within 3 feet of any of these three locations. If you look at the photo of the coiled cable, you can see one of the two cable connection points in the middle. Luckily I already had wired outlets and lights in the attic so I could connect from 10 meters away. . All I had to do was plug a USB charger into one of the outlets in the attic. The cable did not provide enough signal strength to operate a mouse without a power amplifier. There were no instructions with the cable. Maybe they knew I'm a man and we never read directions? Oh, and a big thanks to the reviewer who mentioned plugging a wireless mouse into the other end of his cable! What a wonderful idea. Now I can control my CCTV system (which is in the attic) from my living room and hide my mouse when we leave.
