I love my wok. I have several and this is the best so far! In total, the preparation took two hours: 1 hour for cleaning from the factory preservation, 1 hour for the bluing process. I have a very hot gas stove so it may take longer with an electric stove. Or is it even possible? Just yesterday I cooked a roast for the first time, I really liked it! Still in the honeymoon phase. We will come back to improve durability. However, it is very well balanced and was able to toss food easily last night. I don't see any durability problem here! Some people have said they have a dangling handle problem, I don't have this problem. Everything just great. So far, so good! Before I bought this wok, I read one of the reviewers who described the cooking process as more metallurgical than what most people would describe as "seasoning" and I totally agree. If you don't want to maintain a carbon steel wok, better buy one of the Teflon coated materials. I can get any size they are! Isn't it great?
