Review on Gates 31781 Locking Fuel Tank Cap: Secure Your Fuel with this Reliable Accessory by Randy Montiel

Works as advertised. I bought a similar model from Gates for my Jeep and after a bit of training it worked fine for a long time. You ask education? With this model, the key is only used to initially secure the cover for removal and is not required to lock it. A long time ago in the distant Revain galaxy I bought another brand (Sant) which failed after less than a year and almost left me stuck with my frozen cap preventing me from refueling. Luckily I had a crowbar handy. The Gates cap worked well enough for me to buy another one. So if she's that great, why only 4 stars? Long-term reliability data are not yet available. The other is up to 4 months old and still flawless. If that changes I'll update this review, so 4 for now.
