The teapot was received a few days ago, it looked beautiful, the red color is wonderful. Looks well made and I couldn't wait to use it. We were looking forward to a loud whistle that could be heard in another room as stated in the description, the whistle was so low that it couldn't be heard at all unless we stood a few feet away from it. I thought maybe because it was new and I had to put more water in the line I put water in the line if possible it got even quieter and less audible. Tried on 3rd time, no difference at all. We took turns going into the next room and neither of us could hear him at all from that room. Very disappointing and I will be returning it and trying to find a kettle that actually whistles properly. If you don't care, then this is a good kettle.
