Great upgrade for PS4 pro

I always thought my PS4 pro (entry level) was loud from day one. Warranty day expired, I disassembled it to try to replace the thermal paste to lower the temperature and thus the fan noise. I totally overlooked thermal pads back then, and it's no wonder they haven't faded much. After getting fed up with the noise of a jet engine while playing demanding games, I started looking for other ways to cool it down. After checking the thickness, I decided to replace the thermal pads with something better. On closer inspection, I was amazed this time that the thing could cool at all. The factory pads on the VRM are maybe half the size they should be and weren't even centered. The pads on the RAM looked better in size but still misaligned. I bought this and it's just enough to make a PS4 Pro with VRM and storage basically just spares. Cut all pads to size and make sure they are centered when reassembling. For me it is the difference between day and night. Along with my trusty MX4 thermal paste, it now runs much cooler! It still accelerates a bit under load, but that's at least a big step down from a Boeing 747 takeoff! A bit pricey for the amount of stuff you buy but it works great and I'm very happy with the results!
