These shorts look like they should be ok but the crotch area curls up so at the advertised 3" length they are almost nonexistent. Clumping can also cause chafing. However, range of motion is excellent as you would expect from 3 inch shorts. These are cheap shorts so I'm not sure you can expect more. I've used them for a couple of runs and probably won't. turn to her again. UPDATE: Another star deducted. I've walked these 3 times for a total of about 18 miles. I rubbed every time. I've almost never had an issue with chafing on runs under 10 miles except when wearing these shorts. Considering none of my other shorts chafe, these just won't put in more miles. They will go in the trash.
