Why is this concept so difficult to implement? The remote "works" in an incredibly buggy way. This is the second purported 4 pin headphone extender I've used. On the first one, the remote control in the headphone cable didn't work at all. Having failed with that, I figured the exact brand of headphone cord and extension cord should help. nope I connected the KetDirect remote headphone cable to this KetDirect extender and. The volume buttons don't work at all. The play/pause button works, but it also randomly adjusts the volume up or down a notch with each press. Play and pause and your music will gradually increase or decrease depending on the mood of the cable. I just do not understand. Isn't the 4th pole of the headphone cable simply connected to this extension cable?! And yes, my headphone cable remote works fine when connected directly to the phone.
