Hi my name is Lance and often when I read reviews I never know how worthy they are because I don't know who the reviewer is. Spring. I am a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree from college. I have a high grade point average and am very dedicated. I say this so you know I'm an authoritative source. This camera is way better than my previous canon rebel t3i. I wanted something around 1500 to capture videos and photos in high quality resolutions. This camera does. My biggest problems were the focus points. After purchasing it I found that I really can't live with the way the focus points are set. There are many other cameras out there and some of them now know how the focus points cover the entire screen. I chose Canon because I've always used a gun. Since it's a full-frame camera, I'll need new lenses anyway. This camera isn't worth it if every shot you take doesn't center the subject or you get blurry shots. I think my conclusion is that Cannon doesn't seem to be as active in introducing new technology as other brands. I don't mean that disrespectfully, but they put the 80D's AF system with an APC sensor into the 6D Mark II, which is full-frame. All focus points are really in the middle. this is real crap. I decided to send the camera back and it cost me $80. I am very disappointed that they did not send me a shipping label. You should be able to do more with an $1800 camera. Revane and Cannon, I'm disappointed in you both. :(
