Easy to use once you get the hang of it! Basically, it's a giant transparent patch with no absorbent material. These "second skin" products are generally much more comfortable than the cellophane you wrap fresh tattoos in. If you get wet or try to remove it shortly after application, it comes off very easily. If you plan on submerging it in water I would recommend putting it on well before the adhesive has set and sealed properly. I will compare to Dermshield as I have used it before! I kept this product for about 24 hours before removing it. At this point the corners were already starting to peel off, but that wasn't so bad after a whole day of work and sleep. The adhesive is strong, but not so strong that it's too difficult to remove. In fact, I found it much easier to remove than a skin shield. There was some redness for a day or so, just around the edges and not painful. I actually had raised irritation when using Dermshield which was a bit painful so I'm guessing this adhesive isn't really that strong/hard. Just make sure you do it slowly and take it off under running water (a warm steam shower is best) to avoid crusts coming off it. I am happy to recommend this alternative, especially for tattoo healing. You get a good amount per roll and it's easy to use, just do a little trial run first, check the sensitivity and learn how to use it. If you are sensitive to adhesives or have an allergy to plasters/adhesive plasters, you should of course look for an alternative.
