I bought these after buying a previous version--a short set--and noticing that they lasted much longer than the cheaper one's I bought. So yeah.these are more expensive than others. So if you simply don't have the money to invest in a more durable product.I'm sorry that capitalism has failed us all. But if you are doing alright under global capitalism and can buy these, its worth it. Definitely. I bought two cheaper versions (because although I'm not poor, I'm not rich enough not to feel the hit to my pocket book), and both sets have since been thrown in the trash. Because the button holes tore. The piping tore. And the side of the pants ripped--and yes, I sewed them back together twice, but they tore a 3rd freakin' time. So after that, I bought these to replace them. And I winced at the price. But.they last. These are like clothes from the 80s--which I am old enough to remember--before the introduction of fast fashion. So if you are lucky enough to be thriving under global capitalism, buy these, and not the cheaper ones you see. They are worth it.
