Very tight on my 2003 2000 Sea-Doo Challenger. Density is great when you're in choppy water. However, I find it to be too tight. When I first removed the lanyard, the plastic tab on the safety switch nut that the lanyard fits over broke off and came with me. To be fair, the plastic bar was discolored from sunlight and very brittle. I had to hold the button down with my finger to return to the dock. I ordered a new safety switch nut to replace the broken one. I don't think it's the lanyard's fault that it snapped (mother was old and sun damaged) but I don't think it would have broken the loop if it wasn't so tight. recommend this product but be aware that you will need to replace your plastic safety switch nut if it is old and sun damaged.
