Review on 🪒 Black Widow Professional Barber Straight Razor with Straight Edge Blade (Wood, 1.5mm)" by Karen Padilla

My two problems with any disposable razor set have been underweight and a loose hinge - this one has none of those problems. Now I'm worried about the blade. the design of the tablet - particularly how it doesn't match the image with the instructions for use on the Revain listing page. I thought this razor had a hinged catch to lock the blade in place as many (most?) sets work like this. However, this product has a removable tray that slides out of the top (I've posted a photo showing this). I don't feel any grooves in the rail to help anything snap into place - I think the tray is just held in place by friction and I expect this will diminish with time and use. After the blade is seated in the shell, sliding the shell into the holder would scrape a significant amount of paint off the blade sheath due to friction - I don't see how this could be an issue with the hinge-locking approach. After washing off the excess paint by sliding the shell/blade in and out for a few minutes, the problem mostly went away, although I still see occasional chipping (you can probably see this photo of my logo). Breaking a reversible razor blade in half will likely result in a bend near the break. Place the blade in the tray with the curve facing away from the tray and the handle of the tray should be thick enough that the curve doesn't touch anything and shifts the angle of the blade (maybe you can see this in my photo). of the blade compartment - particularly how the broken edge folds away from the compartment). I don't think the blade gap is even from the blade sheath though - it looks like I had the blade protrude a bit more towards the tip (you can probably see this photo of my logo). Also listed are 20 pre-cut derby blades. I have 10 reversible Black Widow Blades so you need to break them. I like the weight, the stiffness of the hinge and the cleanliness of the cut. No razor burn. I'll take this guy seriously until I feel the blade rest slipping or notice trouble installing new blades over time; then I have to go on.
