This is definitely a significant improvement over the Monroe Sensa twin tube struts that came with the car. .(Dual tube just isn't good enough, hence the single tube upgrade). But I think I was hoping for more. For the price, they're hard to beat. In terms of performance, they're pretty good, but definitely not world-class. are not, and I repeat NOT as good as Koni (for example), but they are a quarter cheaper. I also completely replaced all the spring rubbers and that resulted in some minor road noise, but that's a separate review. I ALWAYS suggest replacing the shock absorbers, they get stiff/shrink and don't muffle the sound either. So for functionality and practicality: yes, I would consider KYB to be the preferred brand. But remember that for those who want the best, there are better performers: they may even cost you extra. I had a few comments about the rack. Ah, but it's as new tires and mounts as new shocks. He has good posture, but most of the time is spent driving rather than looking at him. :)
