I don't usually write reviews but this was so easy to install I had to. Step one: Turn off the main switch panel. (For me it was 3 steps: turn off the solar inverter, turn off the solar panel master breaker, then turn off the panel master breaker). Step Two: Remove the switches covering the control panel. (2 screws for me) Step 3: Find a place to install it on the main switch stem. (I've read that mounting closer to the top was most effective, so I moved 2 breakers down. Just pull it out from the inside to disconnect, then flip it over to reinstall. ) Step 4: Install the surge protector by inserting it on the outside first, then snapping it in the middle. Step 5: Screw the white wire into the neutral post. (It was easy for me to see that a lot of the white wires go to the bar with a lot of screw holders) Step 6: Knock off the covers on the panel cover if needed (hit them with a hammer until they come loose) Step 7: Reinstall the panel. It will be very difficult to mess something up. Allow 15 minutes for the installation. Now I just hope it works like the other reviewers say :)
