Review on Redragon Mechanical Bluetooth Ultra Thin Connection by Tutcht Cobb

Overall this is an impressive hardware tech. And I really want more gamers to experience wireless + backlit + unobtrusive + mechanical gaming. But their Windows integration and software support seems almost non-existent. I haven't tried the Bluetooth option, but it also comes with its own 2.4GHz USB dongle, and this form of wireless connection certainly has very low latency and is still reliable. It also uses USB-C when wired, which is a solid choice over the unreliable Micro-USB. And it communicates via USB, unlike some other wireless keyboards that only use USB for charging. Battery life is at least a couple of hours (even with the backlight on), but I can go back and edit that with a more detailed explanation of the battery. Life. Personally, I'm fine with charging it every day if it's going to be heavily used. So as long as I don't have a problem with 6 hour sessions, I'm fine. I also like that Redragon added multimedia and macro keys. Of course they can be mapped in software, but this design with multiple macro keys and media keys works really well. The problems start on the software side - the software doesn't work at all. It just doesn't recognize the keyboard and tech support doesn't respond. So you can't adjust the colors like you should. I expect this will be fixed but they really need to take this more seriously. I have to say that the volume wheel is not that useful in Windows. Windows optimizes the volume keys very well, so the keys are even better. Map vol+/vol- Ctrl+pgup/pgdn or similar and use AHK instead. Also, the LEDs in the top right corner are too bright. I wrapped them in tape. Another thing I'm starting to realize is that I don't like low profile reds when the actuation pressure is only 45g. Low profile keys are much nicer when more force is needed - it reduces typos. It's very easy to make a typo on this keyboard because the keys are so easy to press. Low profile black (or something else at 60g) would be a good fit if I could find an equivalent product in black. The keys on it are removable but PROTECTIVE! Gah, Kyle doesn't fit in these slots.
