I can’t judge sharpness and functionality, this is my first DSLR! But she really got me hooked! The quality of the pictures has changed many times compared to the compact, even at the initial stages in auto mode, and when I switched to semi-automatic and M modes, I was immediately hooked by the photo)))) KIT lens pleases! For the first time it is more than enough! Of course, I grew out of it, but so far I don’t see a replacement for it at a wide angle, FR 18-35mm for reasonable money (if there is a tripod, it is enough even when shooting evening and night panoramas)! The only thing that is missing at this stage is aperture, I decided to buy a 50mm F1,8 portrait lens! And in the prospects of a flash)))) I'm happy with the fotik as an ELEPHANT, although there are small shoals !
