They are really tight! I love their size, the different colors and the soft feel of the silicone. They appear to be good in quality and design. And they're not just for travel: The lotion bottle I carried in my purse would occasionally open and leak, so I put the lotion in one of them. There are no more leaks. One thing should be noted. They are ideal for thickened liquids such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion. But very watery liquids are difficult to squeeze through the cap because they push out too much when you squeeze the bottle. For these items (e.g. contact lens solution) it is best to unscrew the cap and pour out.
