Review on 📀 ASUS ZenDrive Silver 13mm External DVD Burner Drive - M-Disc Support, Mac & Windows Compatible, Nero BackItUp, USB 2.0 & Type-C Cables included by Jerry King

I chose 2 stars. The point is that a) the description says it works with a Mac, b) it comes with a USB-C cable, and c) the instructions clearly state that it's not guaranteed to work when used with a USB hub becomes. HOWEVER, the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro models only have USB-C ports, and a single USB-C port obviously doesn't deliver enough power; When connecting, the hard drive just clicks, but the system is not recognized and does not open. Of course I could connect a USB-AY cable, with each USB-A also connected to a USB power supply, but there are many drives that don't need this, e.g. B. those with a single USB-A. Connections and that work with the adapter. So, just to be clear: don't buy this if you have a USB-C based MacBook product. Maybe it's a good drive for other uses, but since it's supposed to work for that and doesn't, I can't give a positive review.
