I have and wear a high quality Swiss watch but I'm not a fan of watches so I gave this one a try. I have to say I'm very impressed. Let's talk about sizes first. Case size 42mm, bandwidth 22mm. On paper it sounds like it's quite large/chunky, in fact it's the same size as my Tudor Pelagos which is a large watch for a normal sized man. However, these dimensions only tell half the story. The case is fairly thin, maybe not very thick, and with the strap it seems to weigh next to nothing. It is VERY comfortable to wear all day. In terms of styling, I have an all black version that is well done. The simple, easy-to-read numerals, smaller 24-hour numerals, red second hand accents, and white stitching on the bracelet look great. The numbers and inscriptions on the dial are raised, giving it some depth. The dial itself is black but has a sunburst pattern that is pleasing to the touch when you move it in the light. In terms of use, as mentioned, it's lightweight and has nicely curved lugs. This along with the 22mm wide strap makes it SUPER comfortable no matter what you are doing. The strap itself is adjustable with Velcro on either side, giving you the perfect fit. It has narrow "pencil" hands and a red seconds hand. Everything is accurate and easy to read. As mentioned above they have 24 hour numbers which is nice. However, without a date. Now we have to talk about Lum, a substance that glows in the dark. That's one of my problems with watches. I charged the lum by holding it in front of a bright light for a minute. Although it was decently light to begin with, it was ONLY visible when I woke up to check the time this morning. Even now, after staying up for a while with the lights on, I can barely read the clock when I turn it off. In terms of features, it's really nice to see how recycled materials and solar power are used in a field watch designed for outdoor enthusiasts or people. who want to position themselves as such. The water resistance of 100m is sufficient for non-divers, and the screw-down crown offers additional convenience when using this watch in the water. Mineral glass is better than plastic for scratch resistance, not as good as the sapphire in pricier watches, but this thing costs under $200 so it's hard to complain about that. It's obviously quartz, so not a nice second-hand sweep. For this reason, however, the impact resistance should be good. Faint phosphor aside, this is a really nice, good looking and comfortable watch that should last forever thanks to solar charging. For less than $200, this is really good value.
