The biggest thing that drew me to this model over others is the simple switch mount that is included and attaching the switch really is as easy as it sounds . It went directly to the mirror mount of my 02 V-strom and fits perfectly. The heaters themselves seem to work pretty well. Adhesive backed heat shrink tubing is included for the clutch side, I suspect it will insulate the pad a little by just giving off heat to the metal handlebars, which is really nice, but it doesn't seem to insulate it well enough. I cleaned the handlebars well before applying the shrink wrap, but the glue never stuck to the handlebars, it could still slide off after it had cooled. However, the pad and grip held up as expected without slipping when shrinking. However, insulating one layer of shrink tubing is not enough to insulate from the handlebars. The clutch side is significantly colder than the throttle side. I'm tempted to pull out and trim the clutch side handle, add a few more layers of heat shrink, and then buy another set of handles so I can mount the throttle side handle on the already assembled side of the clutch. This can cause too much slippage, but it's worth a try. To really feel the heat on cold days, I have to open the levers (when I ride, I usually cover both levers with two fingers) and wrap my hands completely around the grips. all fingers, then a minute or two elapses before I actually feel the heat coming out of my hand. If I raise a hand, e.g. B. flicking the turn signal or stretching and grabbing the levers, I lose a lot of heat and have to start over before I get warm again. A lot of this is inevitable as the heat transfer works, but the sluggishness, especially on the clutch side, makes it quite annoying. All this to say that it makes a big difference in cold weather. In plain old summer gloves, they were a lifesaver on a couple of very cold days. I hope I'm still warm now that I've got my winter gloves on. The instructions were clear and easy to understand and the installation was very easy. I didn't use the connector that came with it, I used the spade connectors to connect everything so I could just unplug everything. It was very nice that they contained almost everything you need. I noticed that the included spade connectors are 5.6mm connectors, while the connectors on the included switch are 3.8mm wide, although they could fit in there just fine. I used 3.8mm connectors I had in the garage so that's correct. I also added a rubber cover for a switch I bought on ebay that came with switches that look the same and fit really well. I don't seal it against moisture, but it seems to prevent rainwater from freely entering the switch, which worries me a bit. Seems to be ok so far. Would definitely buy again. I think I learned a thing or two about installation, but the heaters themselves seem solid and efficient, and again I love how easy it was to install using the included switch plate, which most kits don't have.
