After using this pitcher for over a month I can safely say it was worth it! This is my second jug from this brand and I love it. I would buy a third jug with a different capacity. I like the versatility and resistance to heat and cold. I've used it to boil water and brew tea right in the kettle without messing up extra dishes, which also saves time without having to do transfers. It's important to me that it's glass over plastic so there are no stains and that it's easy to disinfect - a huge plus! This pitcher has a lot of volume which is perfect and is an upgrade from the original I bought. I love them both but the shape makes it easier to store in the fridge while still being easy to hold and I can brew large batches of certain teas to use as a base for a week. Silicone on the lid prevents liquid spills when pouring and refrigerator aroma. The old glass jar I used to like didn't have a lid so that was a bonus and kept fresh. This glass is excellent quality and durable so I'm sure it won't break easily making it easy to clean. I love this product and am very happy with this purchase.
