I have a bathroom that must have had dead bodies buried in the walls or was built over an ancient Indian tomb because it has (or had) an irresistible smell as if it were inhabited by ghosts. It's a pretty small room, though, so I just used my knife to cut a few slits in the foam rather than overpowering us all with the citrus scent. It seems to be working very well. I really think it neutralizes odors because I don't really get the smell of this thing - or any other smell - that I was hoping for. However, be careful when opening this suction cup. It suddenly opened up on me, giving me knees full of citrus stickiness. You do not want that.
