Review on π Optimized Vehicle Power Cable by Garmin by Michael Powell
Great for long trips or night use
I did a 6 hour trip last summer and this unit was fantastic as I was able to use my Garmin's lights the whole way. and never had to worry about the batteries running out. I also use it at night when the backlight is very important. It conveniently plugs into the device's USB port and works great with my dash mount. Yes it is expensive but I told a friend I would buy him one for his Garmin as he was trying to put together a homemade one hoping to save some money. I figured a car fire or frying his Garmin was the meager savings or risk
