These bags are ideal for motorcycle trips! My saddlebags are supposed to be waterproof, but I got caught in a downpour and didn't think it was "great". But packing my stuff in these bags before putting them in the tail/saddlebags means I don't have to worry. I use 2 liter laptop/iPad bags and 30 liter garment bags etc and know my stuff will be dry no matter what the road throws at me. A recommendation is to choose one size larger. The pockets are rounded but a bit narrower than I initially thought. The material is a thicker, rubbery material that bends, folds, and manipulates easily, but doesn't stretch (which is why you'll want to go taller). Hope that helps.
