Oh, let me count the ways I love this teapot. I admit I bought it because it looks so cool. But it also works exceptionally well. Fill it either below, or right up to the fill line. Set it on the base, plug it in, then press down on the lever at the bottom of the kettle. It shuts off automatically when it's done. I timed it the first time I used it, and it took 3 minutes on the nose. I should mention I only make tea for myself, so I am not filling it to the fill line. I suppose it could take a little longer than 3 minutes if you fill it to the fill line.
