Review on 🚽 Kohler GP1138930 Silent Fill Toilet Fill Valve Kit, 12.5 Inch x 3.5 Inch x 3 Inch - Genuine Part by Ken Reed

I have used both in my Kohler toilet. My original lasted 7 years until I had to replace it 3 years ago. Neither Lowes nor Home Depot sold genuine Kohler bulk valve parts and still don't sell them in their stores (although they may be online). I ended up replacing the fill valve with a Fluidmaster 400 I bought from Lowes. Fit ok, worked ok, but BOY was loud when filling up from the start. I did a little research and found this to be a common complaint. I've been dealing with this loud noise for 3 years! I finally had to replace that Fluidmaster 400 and decided to go back to that original Kohler part this week. Voila! The noise is gone. This original piece with a Kohler on the top valve head and a Fluidmaster 400 on the other is a SILENT one. I wish I had even decided on the Fluidmaster 400 in those 3 years.
